The European Platform of Integrating Cities (EPIC) aims to improve the integration of migrants at local level by creating a network of Local Authorities (LAs) and their implementing partners (NGOs) that will A) share knowledge and best practices of migrant integration, B) engage in peer-to-peer exchanges based on mutual priorities and different expertise and C) integrate efficient practices within their local policies. The project will gradually equip beneficiaries with practical skills to integrate in their local migrant integration practices. The direct beneficiaries of the project are 7 LAs and from 6 different Member States. EPIC also includes 7 NGOs (of which one officially representing an additional LA), 2 Europe-wide Associations and 1 University tfor research activities. The medium- and long-term beneficiaries are both migrant populations and the hosting societies. This 36-months pilot initiative aims to create a European dimension of migrant integration and after the pilot is completed the results and outputs of this project should be expanded to other cities in Europe.
